Training Magazine 2008 Blended Learning and Performance Project of the Year BELL's e-learning program was named "Blended Learning and Performance Project of the Year" by Training Magazine and was featured in the November/December 2008 issue.
   
Smaller Business Association of New England 2008 New England Innovation Awards BELL was recognized as a nominee for the SBANE 2008 New England Innovation Awards for transforming an innovative idea into a company and service that delivers proven results to customers.
   
2008 Social Capitalist Award BELL was awarded the Social Capitalist Award by Fast Company Magazine and the Monitor Group for the third consecutive year. The award recognizes 45 world-changing nonprofits who use business tools to solve the world's most pressing social problems, and who have demonstrated a consistent and unusually large impact on society.
   
National Association of Corporate Directors 2008 Director of the Year Awards BELL was nominated for the NACD 2008 Director of the Year Awards in the Board of the Year category, recognizing a board that jointly provided the guidance in steering a company through a period of extraordinary growth and major development.
   
2007 Social Capitalist Award BELL was awarded the 2007 Social Capitalist Award by Fast Company Magazine and the Monitor Group, selected from among 314 nominees. The award recognizes organizations using creativity, business smarts, and hard work to mold a brighter future while generating both financial profit and social benefit. According to the magazine, the Social Capitalist Award is to honor those “leaders who combine savvy business models with solutions to pressing social needs in ways that challenge our assumptions about making a profit and making a difference.
   
Massachusetts Conference for Women 2006 Be the Change Award BELL's COO of Field Operations, Dr. Tiffany Cooper, was awarded the 2006 Be the Change Award, presented "to a Massachusetts woman who personifies compassion for her community and commitment to improving the everyday lives of those around her." Dr. Cooper was honored at the Massachusetts Conference for Women, hosted by inspirational women including Marian Heard, Angela Menino, and Dr. Maya Angelou.
   
2006 Social Capitalist Award BELL was awarded the 2006 Social Capitalist Award by Fast Company Magazine and the Monitor Group The award recognizes "the top 25 organizations changing the world" that use innovation and entrepreneurship to create sustainable solutions to urgent social issues.
   
President's Service Award BELL was selected by Bill Clinton of a national pool of 3,600 nominees to receive the President's Service Award, the most prestigious award for national community service. The award reflects the importance the President has placed on community service, and is presented in recognition of outstanding service directed at solving critical social problems.
   

Center for Summer Learning Excellence in Summer Learning Award

BELL Summer was recognized as one of the best educational summer programs in the nation by Johns Hopkins University's Center for Summer Learning.
   
Clara Barton Humanitarian Award BELL CEO Earl Martin Phalen won the Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay's Clara Barton Humanitarian Award in recognition of his service to children and families.
