The Patriots are now on a brief hiatus from football following the 3-day mini-camp that took place earlier in the week.
Vince Wilfork, who participated in the BELL Bowl flag football tournament at Gillette Stadium earlier today, was going to hop a plane with his family and head to Florida tonight for a little vacation.
How did he feel about mini-camp?
”It is what it was,” Wilfork said. ”We’ll see where we’re at when we come back. There’s a little time off now, so enjoy it, get in shape, and be ready to roll when we get back.”
Did he feel much was accomplished?
”I think it was very successful. I think there’s a lot we still have to get done,” Wilfork said. ”We’re still so far away from where we need to be. We can’t do that until we get back up here for camp.”
Jerod Mayo, who also took part in the BELL Bowl, said he was going to stay in the area and continue to prepare himself for the coming season.
”I’ll be around, working out, trying to get better every day,” the linebacker said prior to the event.
Pierre Woods (pictured above as he coached one of the flag football teams today) planned on spending quality time with his wife and two kids.
”I’ll be with my family, that’s it,” Woods said.
